Welcome!

The East Greenbush Amateur Radio Association was established in 1998 to provide emergency services, educational programs, and operating resources to the amateur radio operators and residents of the Capital Region of New York State. EGARA is an affiliate club of the Amateur Radio Relay League, the ARRL, a nation organization that represents the interests of amateur radio.

Any one with interests in line with the purposes and activities of the club is welcome to join. There is no requirement to be a licensed Amateur Radio operator.

Club Meetings

We meet in person the second Thursday of the month except July and August at the Rensselaer County Search and Rescue facility. Meetings are open to all, not just licensed amateur radio operators. We start at 7:00 PM and go for about an hour. Search and Rescue is located at 19 Neptune St, Rensselaer, New York, 12144.
